Industrial activities over Europe are responsible for water pollution on a massive scale. This pollution not only negatively affects the marine environment, impacts frequented bathing and recreational sites but also severely impacts the health of blue communities living nearby and that of water sports enthusiasts, with pollution causing cancer, asthma and other diseases.
To mark Ocean Week 2022, join us on at 6pm at the European Parliament (Spinelli entrance) for the FREE screening of a series of short documentaries on 2 examples of ongoing pollution in Rosignano in Italy and Wijk aan Zee in the Netherlands.
