Ocean Week 2026 Cocktail and Networking Event - Delivering ocean health for Europe’s future
This networking cocktail will be the occasion to discuss the necessity of an ambitious EU Ocean Act for healthy seas, resilient communities and coherent ocean governance. Momentum for ocean regeneration is building: through the ratification of the High Seas Treaty, the commitments made at the 2025 UN Ocean Conference in Nice, and growing recognition by international courts of the links between a healthy marine environment, climate and human rights.
During Ocean Week, the Blue NGOs are organising a high-level evening reception in the European Parliament to build political momentum around this opportunity and to underline the need for an ambitious Ocean Act that works for both planet and people.
